You might try Windsports on Mission Bay first, ask for Kurt or
Kyle. They carry new and used gear. (619) 488-4642.
Most local sailors have a garage full of used equipment in normally
good shape. Check the 'Reader Newspaper' for people selling gear or
stop by the beach on a windy day (unfortunetly somewhat rare).
'Topper' Driggs shapes good wave boards, lives part time in local
Mexico and knows most of the wavesailors in the San Diego area. John
Harriman runs the High Tech production factory near town and may have
some leads or be able to help. Also, there's shaper Joe Blair in the
North County.
There are other shops/shapers/sailors in SDbut this info should get
you started.
Good luck, enjoy your trip South and please remember to 'Haul Out
anything you Haul In' to SC.
