Instruction and rental in Aruba

From what I can gather, there are three major windsurf rental and
instruction centers in Aruba--Vela, Mistral, and maybe you could include
Red Sail. I'm an intermediate flat water windsurfer (Bic Samba) in Ohio,
which has pretty light winds in the summer. Don't really use a harness,
but have a seat harness that I've played with, but am not comfortable.
Never been in my foot straps. So I'm looking to acquire and improve
skills. I have twin daughters who are beginners, wanting to learn the
sport. We'll be staying at the Hyatt Aug2-8. Which company do you think
offers the best instruction, equipment and has the best learning site?

Vela!!!

But, I would consider Margarita over Aruba for your level.  I found the
off shore winds in Aruba to be very intimidating, and I had been sailing
for 10+ years the first time I went there.  Margarita has side shore wind,
and in the summer it tends to be less windy than Aruba.  Don't get me
wrong, I loved Aruba but I think that their promotion of  it as a place
for beginners is very misleading.  (I would not recommend that you go to
Margarita in the winter, too much wind for your level of sailing.  But
after you get your harness skills and water starts down, you'd love it!)

Vela has great gear, great instruction, and is right on the beach.  I had
an excellent experience there and am planning a return soon.

Sailboard vacations has excellent instruction.  I beleive the instructor I
worked with was Mark.  He is very patient and very well spoken.  He
explains everything in depth and makes sure you understand what he is
saying.
