When the "Bubble Effect" is happening on Lake Erie (now through early
June) try small inland lakes or, best of all, do the upper Niagara River
where the prevailing SW to W wind blows opposite the current. Best
section is between Grand Island, NY and Canadian side. Conditions can be
kick ass here but unless you want to lose your ***over the Falls, ONLY
sail here if you are advanced & definitely able to water start easily.
BTW, wait `till the ice clears out of the river.

I almost went to Crystal on Wednesday, but was not sure if the ice is
out.  Does anyone know if of the status?
