My wife and I are heading to Aruba for a week at the end of this month
and we are staying La Cabana Beach Resort. I have been sailing for a few
years, but am frustrated by my lack of improvement. I think some
professional instruction would help me out a lot. My wife is a novice,
but would like to learn how to sail. Does anyone know of a good place to
a)sail b)rent equipment and c)get some good instruction for my wife and
I?

Any advice greatly appreciated
Bryan

Without question, the best place is Roger's Windsurf Place, just up the
road from La Cabana.  Roger represented Aruba in the '92 Olympics and is
a superb teacher.  His rental equipment is tops: Naish sails, Mistral
and ProTech sticks.  You'd be nuts to go anywhere else.

> BryanBryan,  I recommend Roger's also,  Dasher at Vela is good.  At Roger's

ask for Dave or Roger (Ro-jay). Check out www.rogerswindsurf.com   Tell
them Tom from Wyoming sent you for a 00% discount.  Enjoy Tom

Just got back from Aruba a couple of weeks ago. Second year down there,
first year with Vela. Definitely go with Vela -the instruction was great!
The instructors really can get the message across and are genuinely
interested in your success.  The daily 5:00pm Q&A on the beach is a great
way to pick up tips and get your questions answered.

Definitely helped me!!
