So what are the relative bends for these two masts? Will the Powerex be
stiffer in the top? And if so, won't that cause fuller than intended
heads and flatter than intended midsections in sails designed around
the FS?

I'm not a racer, but I would agree with your synopsis.
Don't know to what extent...on Aerotech,North,Windwing and Simmer, the
effect I've heard is less pronounced to almost neglible...Sailworks, NP,
and Gaastra race sails are FS optimized.
