Curacao: Good enough rental gear? Or Aruba?

Curacao: Good enough rental gear? Or Aruba?

Post by Tim Hoga » Sun, 01 Mar 1998 04:00:00

I will be on a business trip in about 1 month to Curacao.  I intend to take an
extra 4 days to a week of vacation time to do some windsurfing.  Does anyone
know if there is decent windsurfing gear for rent on that island?  (I am
partial to Veloce line, since that is what I sail at home).  Also, what about
the conditions for windsurfing there?  Should I plan on traveling to Aruba for
my windsurfing?  How much trouble is that?  Any help greatly appreciated.  (I
can't wait to get there, what a lucky break to get this trip!)

Yes, definitely. Conditions and equipment very limited on Curacao.

Short, easy plane ride on Air Aruba.  Then fly home out of Aruba.

This is what I has to do last time since everything was booked flying
straight into Aruba.
