East Coast windsurfing on Valentine's Day

Post by Bill Bel » Sat, 19 Feb 2000 04:00:00

I heard that Hatteras went off on Monday, Feb. 14.  70 deg air, 53+
deg. water, and WSW at about 25 to 30 mph.  Of course, Dimitri M.'s
comment on my office v.mail Tuesday morning was; "You MISSED IT!!"
Anyone else have any experience sailing the Spring time wind on the E.
Coast on Monday or Tuesday?  He mentioned that only he and JT made it
out, while two others were denied by the wind shadow and shore break.

Hopefully, it will be an early Spring this year in Hatteras so we can
shed the 4/3mm *** and break out the shorties sooner than later!!

See you down on the OBX in a few weeks!

It was same wind in Wilmington all afternoon. Beautiful weather...near 60 degrees. Ah, <hopefully>
a taste of things to come...

Not a bad day at all.  Spring is a comin'.  Barefoot, barehanded and hoodless
in February.

Alan, I bet you're poppin some Advil.  You've gotta be hurting after tossing
all those loops.

Dave.
