I am going to be in Wilmington this weekend.  Does anybody know some good
places to sail?

If you are talking about Wilmington, Delaware the best, closest spot is Dewey
Beach. Its on the coast so you can sail ocean or back bays, BTW we have had
great wind lately (3.7 to 5.5 past 2 weekends). Can't help if you mean North
Carolina.

If you mean Wilmington, NC. Go to the Fort Fisher Basin in Kure Beach.
Its sailable in most wind directions. The Basin is slalom sailing. If
you want ocean sailing, there is a public beach access there as well,
just take the road that leads to the aquarium. If you have 4x4 take
the dirt road beside the public access and go straight out to Corncake
Inlet (a couple of miles).

Sailing in Wrightsville Beach, is mainly in the ocean. go over the
bridge and hang a right and go to the end of the island and you'll be
at the Jetties. You can stop in the Ship's Store (before the bridge)
and ask them questions if you need more details.
