Usually a "short board is less than 10' long and does not have a
daggerboard.
It used to be that short boards were less than 9'6" but with the new
lite air planers being 9'8"-almost 10' I'd guess we need to include
them as "short boards".
The biggest distinction is still the daggerboard. Longboards have
them, shorboards don't.
