Looking for jumping video

Although most of my sailing in on 9.5 and a board I'd rather not jump,
there's an occasional 7.5 day and even a few 5.5 days in a year. I
really want to jump and think I know the basics, but it's not yet
happening.

I see only one video at sideoff ( http://tinyurl.com/2s6x5p ) and I
have the impression from the writeup that it quickly goes from the
basics to more advanced action, which I don't think will help me get
the basics. Maybe the 5x opportunity a year I get just isn't enough?

The "Jump" video is terrible and a total waste of time and money.
Maybe your best bet is to take a quick windsurf vacation to somewhere
a little windier, so you can get a few days in a row and really work
on it?  Like anything, practice makes perfect, although studying up on
it can move you up the learning curve a little faster.

Bless you, kev, for saving me a waste of money. I got out some good
billing the other night and may be able to finally take a vacation
this year!

A number of Peter Hart videos have decent jumping instruction.   Both
on "'Let's Go Wave Sailing" and "Serious About Waves #2 he gets into
jumps, though the "Go Wave Sailing" tape is probably more suitable as
a 101.  Also, if you can find a copy of it, Turn for the Better has
some stuff on jumping.
