Hey Andy, you havn't lived until you have windsurfed off of Broad Channel
in Queens, NY.  We are a small comunity where everyone lives on the water.
The bay is my backyard(literally) and there are a few islands you can sail
to and enjoy flat water speed sailing.  Another 2 miles past these islands
and you'll be sailing off of Plum Beach. Head into the bay under the
Marine Parkway Bridge and go straight.....you wouldn't believe what you've
been missing. If you see another windsurfer there it will probably be me,
since I'm the only one who sails this little piece of heaven.

         PRAYING FOR WIND!!!

Isn't that in the general area of the dump with the signs "Danger
contaminated water"?

Bob-- I'm envious.  I sail in Long Island Sounds and it always seems like
the windmeter at JFK is much higher than anything we get up in CT.  You
must get a lot of sessions in.
