Weird new fin in "Surf" magazine

The September issue of Surf (a German windsurfing magazine) has a short
article on a weird new fin. Where a regular fin would end, this fin has
what looks like an airplane wing attached to the end. It's for very light
winds.

The fins are available from "Take and Easy", 0 90 02 10 63 (I guess that
0 is within Germany only and you would replace it with the long distance access
code and country code for Germany). The price is 198 DM.

It would be interestig to hear from anyone who has tried or seen this fin
in real life. It doesn't look very strong - the wing seems to be held by
two screws.

Is this like the "winged keel" developed for the Oz Americas Cup yacht which
finally won it away from the US? If so the ideas been around for a while,
I've seen fins here like that, Australian made I think
