Wanted : Advice on large slalom sail

Hi all.

I recently bought a used custom carbon slalom board, which I beleived was
about 9.2 and 110-115 ltrs.  After sailing it a couple of times with my
HOT 7.0 Velocity and a big fin, I realize that the board is probably
closer to 100-105 ltrs, and would work a lot better with a short boomed
6.5 sail and smaller fin (the Hot gains low end by using a boom of 7'2").

So to make a long story short, I am now looking at selling my Hot 7.0 and
picking up something in the 6.4-6.6 range with good performance and a
shorter boom length (say 200 cm or 80 in. max.)

I prefer to stick with a dual cam for weight purposes, and don't want to
get into race sails.  If possible, I would prefer to also find a sail
that will rig on my 460-25 Powerex Carbon.

I have considered Spectros and Bravos (do Bravos still like a semi-flex
top?), as well as V6 or V8.  I was surprised to see that in 95,
Sailworks even had Quadros in 6.5 sizes.  Anybody ever tried this sail
in large size ?  Am I missing any obvious matches that are available in
NE states or eastern Canada ?

Even better, if somebody was looking to swap a 6.5 for a 7.0, I might be
interested.  They'd have to be fairly local to Ottawa (Northest states
or Canada).  The sail is a '94 Hot Velocity twin cam, 7.0.  It's in almost
pristine shape.  I have a one piece mast, about 50-60 % carbon and 26-27
MCS CC that goes with it and works well..

Any advice from folks using similar gear ?

Buy a Delta3!

Just picked one up myself, and I too have a Powerex 460/25, and a Chinook
5'-7'  boom. With a 16" extension, all three sizes (6.6, 5.8, 5.0) rig
beautifully.

It's a dual cam, fairly light, and for my level (intermediate
shortboarder), the perfect sail.

This sail has been praised up and down on this alias -- check it out.

Sail World and MultiSails make excellent large slalom sails with shorter
booms (their 6.8 and 6.6 sizes, respectively, both use about 6'5" booms
and 15' masts raised about a foot. Both are also very well built and
inexpensive.
