MN sail repair ?

What are the good sail repair shops in the Twin Cities ( Minnesota ) ?

I was havin' a ball out on lake Calhoon with ~35k winds when
I was catapulted into the sail. My knee pushed through the sail
and caused some extensive damage.

MN sail repair ?

Post by Leah J Mecklenbu » Fri, 17 Jun 1994 02:28:40

I did the same thing to a sail of mine a few years back.  I brought it to
Scuba Center Windsurfing.  They said they sent all their sail repairs to
Bowers (Bauers ?) (spelling?) sail repair near lake Minnetonka.  I just
skipped the middle man and brought my sail right there.

I had a mylar sail then, I'm not sure if they repair monofilm or not.  I
blew out a seam from leach to luff, and they fixed it with matching
material for $45 bucks.  They also patched some of my batten pockets that
were wearing thin at no additional costs.

I also had them make a *** for a catermaran.  Excellent work, but it
cost about 300 bucks.  They do excellent work, but I'm not sure if they
repair monofilm.  It's worth checking it out I guess.

the very best in the twin cities for repair is Wendy Jedlicka at the
Bavarian Surf Shop on Nicollet Mall very near downtown  Mpls.  She has
been repairing for years and is quite reasonable.  You can find her at
Lake Calhoun when the wind is blowing.  Her boyfriend is also a bigwig
on Internet!
