i use 2 layers on the bottom,  plus 3 full-length layers on the top plus
a 3/4-length layer beginning at the tail.  in addition, the entire back
footstrap area get a bunch more after capping...

sorry, that's 6 oz/yd^2 fiberglass (e-glass).

I think that is basically what I did with my board.  I have more around the
mast track and foot strap area: at least fourlayers with capping.
