I'm flying to the states and I got a layover in LA for a couple of
hours... are there any shops close enough to the airport to sneak out
and do some shopping during flights?

I live in an obscure and windy Asian country and usually shop near SF
airport between flights.

Yes, Wind & Wave is about 10-15 min. from LAX..
It's one of the biggest shops in the L.A. area.
Mistral, NP, ONeill,and lots of other good stuff.
