We are already well into the windsurfing season, but the number
of stories, or reports, posted these days is really low.  Why?

I am sure there are LOTS of situations and events that deserve
to be shared.  I am referring to something more elaborate than
``I saw a very large jelly-fish'' or ``I got catapulted and
destroyed my boom''.  I mean, those are fine main courses as
long as there are enough side dishes: for instance, an accurate
description of one's fear for jelly-fish, or the story of one's
life as it flashes in front of his eyes during the catapult.

So many readers of this newsgroup like windsurfing SO MUCH that
it seems impossible they would not have fun writing about it.
Give it a thought.  --Luigi

Many of the readers are students and they may be away from their
machines and out windsurfing on nice summer days like these.

Also, most of the stuff that happens to the average person can
sound extremely boring unless the writer is really good.

This fits into the "unusual uses for equipment" category:

Last week we discovered that Gaastra draftlok tubes make excellent
blow-guns. You just put a small pebble or stick inside and blow
hard. We had a lot of fun for a while, but then the owner of the
sail decided that the tubes may after all be useful on the battens...

I use my Draftlocks to change the television channels in my bedroom... no use
getting out of bed on a cold winters night to flick the switch.

BTW: I feel the draftlocks are a bit cumbersome. Anybody really believe that
they make a difference ? I know they stiffen the battens up heaps but they
are quite fiddly....
