Windsurfing late June/early July

late June is a great time to visit Cape Cod. last year we got really good
wind, after a disappointing spring. by mid July the SW winds are still
reliable but they just keep getting weaker. Check the IW archives, Kalmus
and W. Dennis.
there are NO bugs near the beach if its windy.
I'd want to be outta there by July 4th weekend anyway. Major mob scene.

Also, every year, a number of Canadians come down to Lakes for a couple weeks at
that time of year.

I've asked them: "Why here?   Why not just keep going a little further and stay
at Hatteras?."

The answer has been "Been there, done that; and we like it here."   Dunno if
they're ***ed to *** or what - but that's what they say.

Finally, I've been in Hatt for two or three weeks at a time; been basically
skunked; and had to watch the weather reports of seemingly-endless wind up in
NJ.

I still go to Hatteras.... but at the right times of year New Jersey isn't all
that bad...
