I work about 5 doors down from ASD.

Spoke with John and they are selling all the rental gear from this
season over labor day.

I am going to take a Gaastra sail, I looked at yesterday. I looked at
most of the sails and they keep them inside and out of the sun. In
other words the mono is in good shape and no marks on the luff sleave.
The sails I saw were mostly Gaastra and North, give them a call directly
as I didn't look at everything. They are also selling masts/booms,
don't know about boards. The # is 650-348-8485

I have bought a few things from John used, ie masts, and have had no
problems.

One guy in the shop told me that they are also selling their boards
including Technos from $700. The sale starts on Friday at 10am and it
will be busy I was told.

- - They do this every year as I recall. Next to the spring swaps
it's a really good way to get gear at a reasonable price. I've
bought a few things over the years and have never been
disappointed.
