rec dotter Kevin Kan got caught in mid loop at Tomales yesterday by
photographer Kent Porter and made the front page of the Santa Rosa Press
Democrat. It`s not on the front page of the online paper but heres a link to
the shot. I guess you weren`t that overpowered Kevin to be throwing forwards
like that! If you want a copy of the paper drop me your address

  Not Kevin here....
I see da boyz throwing forwards when they are waaay overpowered, like
35mph winds with 5.3's.
Bigger the winds, the more vert your forwards.
Lightwinds, you gotta pop into a horizontal flip.
Different conditions, different variations off the same move.
Gusts were coming thru over 43mph by 3PM at Tomales.

thanks, Osh, for letting me know.

yeah, nothing like a little wind to make your body feel a little
better.  I remember when I was at the chiropractor's office, I asked
her what the cracking of joints did for you, and she said that one of
the great benefits was the release of endorphins.  Well hell, I know a
whole lot better (and cheaper) way to release some endorphins... GO
SAILING!

I love self medicating :-)

Seems to me it's been more of a question of wind direction relative to the
ramp. Sometimes, in more wind you have a little more time to turn downwind
before rotating since you're getting bigger air, but that just goes back to
the direction issue.
