Posting for a friend . . .

My wife and I are looking to replace our old glass wave boards and are
interested in info on the Mistral Ecstasy and the F2 Axxis 255.
Specifically, durability with respect to each other and with respect to
custom glass wave boards. Our main concern is that they hold up better
than glass boards (at least enough better to justify the price). Also,
how do they perform against customs? Any comments on either board would
be greatly appreciated. (We weigh 140 and 115 respectively and our
heights are 5'10" and 5'5".) Thanks

I have used both boards and prefered the F2 255.  It is a little bit
narrower and I felt that it carved easier than the Ecstacy.  I am the same
size as your wife.  The board is totally boyant, I could uphale it- no
problem.  Both boards are durable.  I also felt that the F2 handled better
in swells and chop (I used it on a 3.5 day at the Hatchery in the Gorge).
