WINDSIGHT

LARKSPUR HAS A SENSOR

It is no longer necessary to make the drive to Larkspur to check out the
wind.  After long negotiations with the State Prison System, Windsight has
been able to rent a sensor location at San Quentin State Prison.

The sight we chose best reflects the actual wind in the sailing area, and
we believe the reading is perfect and no correction factor is necessary.
The sensor report will be followed by frequent on-site verbal reports in
the afternoons.  There will also be a custom Larkspur forecast by the
Windsight meterorologist at 8:00 a.m. and noon each day.

The Larkspur report is on option 56 of the Windsight system.  If you
listen to the sensor report your call will cost only twenty cents and the
call itself is toll free from anywhere.  During the spring and early
summer the Rod & Gun report will be on the same option.

THIRD AVENUE HAS A
SENSOR

The sensor is sited near the road upwind of the launch site on a tower 30
feet aboe the ground and clear of any buildings or trees.  It will take
some time to coorelate the report with the actual wind conditions on the
water.  Call Mike Godsey at 1-800-685-9463 with your observations.  The
wind in the outer waters will be about 5 to 10 knots stronger than
reported by the sensor and not as gusty.

We also have hourly updates from San Bruno Gap and from the SFO runway.
All three reports are on option 55 of Windsightis Bay Area menus.

To try out any of Windsightis 12 Bay Area sensors and listen to the custom
forecasts for each sailing site call 1-800-934-2278 and ask for a free
demo.  Your Windsight card also works for the Gorge, Maui, the Oregon
Coast, West Coast ski reports and Ocean Fishing reports.
