i have one, so do about 3-4 other sailors at davenport.
definitely quick to plane.  i think i like this board
best when the faces are shoulder high or better.
some action from 1st/5th rider on the video clip at

thanks alex,

that looks like a nice wave day!  unfortunately here in england we are
generally dealing with choppy onshore conditions.

how would you say the board deals with chop

and could you get a 5.5 on it?

thanks alot,

C

my largest sail is a 5.3 and it works fine with the board.
i think the other sailors are also on the 5.0/5.3 range on
their sails.  they switch to a floatier board if they
need a larger sail -- we've had mostly 'powered slogging'
days here this year..  i would imagine that the 5.5 would
work just fine with this board.

choppy onshore conditions, i didn't enjoy as much.  but i think
it's mostly due to the conditions and my (lack of) skills,
as opposed to the board.  another sailor just rips on it no
matter what condition..

From what I know it is a dedicated down the line board. If you sail
conditions that are cross-onshore more than 50% or the time you won't want a
Chango.
Get an EVO or JP RWW as they work awesome in onshore slop and they are 90%
or the way there for real DTL waves
