Next year we are planning atrip along the turkish southcoast. Maybe a
crossover to cyprus. We are looking for any informations concerning that
subject.

The way this year's been, air temperatures can be expected to
exceed 20C.  It's been a very mild winter in the Aegean, and not much
change is in sight.  Water temperatures should remain in the vicinity of
18C.

Winds are very unpredictable in May.  I would say that June-July
is a much better bet.  Kusadasi is not the ultimate windsurfing spot,
though; the hour-long ride to Cesme/Alacati is absolutely worthwhile.
Alacati has a nice setting with 2-3 small hills creating a somewhat of a
wind tunnel with flat waters.  Cesme has the waves.  No Club Med there,
but you'll find better rental equipment in abundance, plus the sweet
sandy beaches which Kusadasi is short of.

Kusadasi and Kos both have neat bars and clubs.  A bit too
touristy for some people.  Across Kos by ferry is Bodrum, arguably one of
the two wildest spots in the Aegean, the other being Mikonos.

Finally, Kusadasi is 20 minutes by bus from Ephesus, the ancient
Greek city.  It's definitely worth missing half a day of windsurfing.

        Enjoy,
