South Germany report: Big wednesday with 60+ knots

This Wednesday was rather special in South Germany. My windmeter
was frequently maxed out at it's upper reading of 58mph, but the
local Luftwaffe airport had measured gusts up to 60 knots.

We had no trouble believing them. Regular "flying water". And
all this in warm air with no rain and the occasional streak of
sun. Dude... Most people were just watching. In the morning,
when it was less, I started to feel strange when the 85-90kg
guys came back in from the water with their 4.0s, looking unhappy.
In the afternoon nobody was on more than 3.7, and typically no
more than 3 people on the water at any given time.

And the real gusts where just flattening the whole lot every
other minute.

We should have this more than every once in 2 years :) !

Cheers,

Great to hear its not just California getting good fall winds and waves.

I hear La Nina is El Nino's windy sister. She must be visiting Europe too ;)

Enjoy that viento!
