Windsurfing in Upstate New York

Does anyone know of places in Upstate New York where I can take
windsurfing lessons? If it helps, I live near the towns of Cold Spring,
NY ; Fishkill, NY ; and Poughkeepsie, NY.

Thanks,

Frank

Frank,
I used to live in Pok and Kingston. Anyway, the closest thing to lessons in
the area was offered by a group of sailers called the River Rats (sailing
on the Hudson). They used to have beginer lesson every Thursday night up at
Kingston Point in Kingston during the summer. It was free, very informal
and offered to increase windsurfing interest in the area. I'm not sure if
they are doing it this summer. I still have the number of a couple of
sailers in the group if your interested in traveling to Kinston (send me an
E-mail if you are). They are a great group of guys.

No lessons but there's a big group that launches out of Ossining
in the park next to the rail station (Sing Sing surf squad.)

Cold Spring has expert level sailing at Breakneck ridge
where the road goes through a tunnel north of town.
There's a lot of tidal current. Wind funnelling makes it
happen in NW and SE.

I'm going to repost my Western Upstate NY sailing information.  Is it
possible that someone from around the area mentioned in this thread could
put together a similar document ?  I (and others in our area) would find it
very useful.  If we can obtain a down state and a north country list we
could probably put together a sailing guide to New York State !!
