Hello,

My husband and I just got a new puppy. We both windsurf, but can't
think of a good windsurfing name for him. We'd love some suggestions.

How about "Awesome awesome awesome stick fetcher. That is, it fetches
sticks better than some other similar dogs, but let's forget about the
dedicated stick fetchers as only those on Maui can buy them"

Well if it were me I'd name it Moshe. Because, when I was just out of
college, in my Hobie Cat days, we used to sail a beach in Louisiana where a
bunch of windsurfers used to sail. This was in the days of the old
"Windsurfer", with the teak mast foot that always popped out and smashed
your toes. These guys showed up with their long hear, and played Bob Marley
on their stereos. Definitely counter-culture. They had a dog that would hop
on the front of the board and sail with them. The dog's name - Moshe. We'd
trade rides, and I smashed my toes often. That was my first experience
windsurfing. Little did I know then how life-changing it would turn out to
be. Funny how the only detail I remember about that was the little dog's
name.
