Sad news . . . Doug Weeks

Post by John Kohlmoo » Tue, 14 Nov 2006 08:26:24

I just got the sad news that Doug Weeks passsed away on Thursday, Novermber
9.  He had fought a courageous battle against a degenerative lung disease .
. . all the while maintaining his incredible sense of irony and humor.

Doug was a rep, distributor (Okespor, Nautix), advocate and officer of the
original ABIA.  He will be remebered as one of the genuine characters of the
windsurfing industry.  He leaves behind his wife, Margo, and two children of
whom he was outrageously proud, Nate and Kendall.

A memorial service will be held next Saturday (11/18) at the Gilford
Community Church in Gilford, New Hampshire.

Very sad to hear of his passing.

May God bless and keep him and hold his family close.

Christ...so sorry to hear this...
Doug and I were*** out playing a little music down in Florida
right after 9-11... he was one of the most supportive people I have
ever met... a really good hearted man. I moved to China shortly after
than and over time we fell out of touch... I am so sorry to hear
this... really sorry... such a good guy

Thanks for your post John

Sincerely
