Bummed that the looping DVD won't be out in time to put in my christmas
stocking.

I don't use anything larger than a 7.2 sail and 115l board. So at
first thought I might not get much out of this DVD. But after reading
the description I'm wondering.

Especially since I'm still not planing out of my jybes - couldn't hurt
to have more speed going into them.

So who's seen it? What did you think? Would you recommend it?

Certainly can't hurt to learn about going faster with more control.
Have not seen this particular DVD but enjoy others by Peter. The ods of
planing out of your jibes are indeed better if you go into them with
more speed and control, but most likely it is something that you are
doing during the jibe that is causing you to drop off a plane. To
really figure out what that is, I suggest putting Dasher's 12 Step Jibe
on your wish list. There's still no better jibe DVD out there.

Thanks Tony. I've already got that one. I'll probably just do more
lessons next year. Although this year - the lessons didn't help much.

I'm a bit of a video junkie. I've got most of the jibing ones.

It's actually amusing because I'm just looking for an excuse to spend
the money on this one. One of my annual Christmas rituals is to pick
up a video or two from Sideoff.

I expected this years to be the looping video. But again - it won't be
out in time. And again - since I don't ride formula boards - and use
mostly small gear I just wasn't sure about the Faster video.

I have it. I do not think I got very much out of it. So no.

I am waiting for the loop vid too.

You might check out totalvid.com as a away of sampling these video's and a
lot of other video's
for other sports.
As for jibing everybody emphasizes speed going in. If you are not
accelerating as you bear off you
either have to small a sail or there isn't enough wind , assuming you can
sail fast on a reach.

It is actually very good. Go on buy it, you know you want it.

There is not one formula board on the whole vid but most of it is on
slalom, freride or superx stuff. There are many tips on trim and lots
of small things that help improve speed, which can't be a bad thing at
any time.
