I'm planning a trip to Pistol River the first week in August, and I'm
wondering what to expect. The wind on the coast around here (SF Bay
area) has been pretty sporadic at best lately. How's it been up there?
Any insight or opinions? Are my chances for good wind better in the
Gorge? I would much rather be on the coast, but not if there's no
wind...

It has definitely has been sporadic on the Oregon Central Coast. The Gorge
has had its down days too.
