I was in Bodrum last June. I stayed at the Sha Hotel where Sunworld is based
but couldn't use their gear without having a full package. On the advise of an
instructor, I went about 20 km west to the end of the peninsula and then 5
miles south to Fener Beach (look for the lighthouse). There are two good
operations there. There is a German run Mistral Center at an all inclusive
hotel. They do not officially allow use of the gear unless you are a guest but
I was able to sail with then for a day. The other opeartion was run by a
Frenchman named Michel... Very friendly and a great place to hang out. Michel
can be reached at the Fener Beach Bar/Restaurant at (0090) 252 393 6158 during
the Spring/Summer. In the winter he runs a snowboard shop in France- Tel. 04 79
08 81 23/ Fax 04 79 08 81 28.

The sailing site at Fener is windier than the Sunworld site... and less
protected. I think it would still be a good site for an advanced beginner or
intermediate. Just don't sail too far out unless you have your passport- it is
only 3 or 4 miles to Greece.
