I actually did NOT participate in one of his clinics, but went to an ABK
camp at the delta last weekend that had his clinic, and since his group was
sailing at the same site as mine, I might be able to fill you in a bit.
As best as I could tell, he fills up the three days in the usual manner:
lectures, simulator work, on-the-water work, and video analysis. We had a
combination of windy and light-air weather, and thus I saw his group doing
both light-air freestyle stuff, as well as the planing-conditions stuff.
The skill level of his group seemed to cover a wide range, from
Hookipa-ready to consistent jiber, but it seemed to me that Andy was
addressing everyone's needs--I talked to the seven guys in his group and
they were all very stoked about it. I even sneaked into their video review
session (separate from the rest of the camp), and found it to be typical
Andy.
I'd definitely say that the group got its money's worth: Sunday afternoon,
after the general camp had officially disbanded, his group was still doing
lecture and simulator work. Those guys were just filling up notebooks with
notes and tips...
Hope this helps.
