F2 Air 255?

F2 Air 255?

Post by Baxte » Sun, 07 Jan 2001 00:35:45

Im considering this board for high wind B&J and 'occasional' wave sailing
days. The board is rated at about 85lts and Im about 82kgs.  I know it wont
float me but I also dont want something to sink me to my waist.  Does anyone
know much about this board ?

Thanks.

if your gonna use it for high wind b&j i would recommend you the wave 256..
a lot faster and very easy to turn... i use it for b&j too.. my weight is
about 77 and the board has 82L volume... but if your using it for high wind
i don;t think that looking for shelves is gonna happen...

ever sailed.

F2 Air 255?

Based on my experience sailing the F2 Air 260 and the F2 adverti***ts, I
believe the F2 Air boards to be very FreeStyle orientated. Wide stable platform
good for practising Push Tacks etc.  O.K. if that is what you want.

I suggest that you try to sail the board, and some others before committing to a
purchase.

I own a 255 and a 265. I weigh 155 lbs. Freestyle is what I do so I love the
board.  I sail it from 5.9 down to 4.1.  A 5.0 is the perfect size for this
board.  Sure it's not the fastest board out there but it's not like everyone
flies past me.  If you want to learn tricks these are the types of boards that
you have to have to learn new moves the quickest.
All I can say is I love the air 255.  I've had it out in over-head swells and
it handles great.  It is extremely easy to handle on big jumps, and so far it's
holding up really good.
