Fellow Windians,
Spring is here BIGTIME in Cali!
4 days in a row and forecast is good through Sunday...
http://www.surfingsports.com/marineSCAL.asp?
Friends are giving me reports of strong Spring winds also blowing in the
Islands, Gorge, S.F. Bay, NorCal Coast, Cali lakes, Baja Coast, and
Corpus Christi...Oregon and East Coast also starting to get some days.
By this time next month, almost everyone in the Northern Hemisphere
should be "in them"...:-)
Look for "blue" to blow your way soon:

Ain't seen 'em yet, unless you want to count that one blast many weeks ago.
And even the air still borders on COLD, and the water IS cold. Send some of
that WX up here to the Gorge, please.

I don't want to hear it. We have had 2 shorboard days here in the Florida
panhandle in 5 months. And this is supposed to be the windy season. Send
some our way!

WARDOG,

you bas***d, quit hoggin' all the wind.  It's been hot and humid glass here the past
couple of weeks.  Of course this coincides with the purchase of a new board, a noted wind
jinx, but I submit that it's a light wind board and if anything it should make the wind
blow too hard to get it out on the water.

Anyway, it looks like the east coast should be getting something this holiday weekend.
Hoping to test out on the new stick this Friday in Wilmington.  We'll
see.........................

Dave in C***te.

I baptized my new 8'3" Bassett tri-fin today...I could have ridden it
sooner...I was waiting to get her wet at Jalama, but it won't stop
blowin' here at home! So much for the wind jinx theory...;-)

Rosie = 23 => 9-meter sails and 200-liter boards, if that. Its sensor has to
hit 30 before a 6.0 will work. I watched it hang in the 24-28 range all day
as three experienced kiters sat onshore 'cause their 11-meter kites wouldn't
get them planing consistently. Maryhill is off by about the same amount.
Steady ... yes. Whitecaps? Not 'til it hits 30ish. Even our most dedicated
retirees have gotten very little water time yet this year, and that was back
in mid-March, in mittens. The best stuff we've seen with ANY consistency has
been a few extra days of sailable-but-unexciting chillygusty stuff near the
Corridor. And they're forecasting snow in Walla Walla -- not far from the
eastern Gorge -- tonight.

Too bad we can't sail the computer.
