Hatteras last week of march OK?

I have never been to hatteras, and it is spring break the last
week of march.
Is it generally pretty warm there at that time?

warm meaning no booties, gloves, or hood.  full wetsuit is fine.
warm meaning you can camp and not freeze your t$ts off.

oh yeah, and is there wind...

thanks!

Hey Jason-
The weather for Hatteras in late March can be pretty
unpredictable.  The air temps can range from 50 - 70 degrees and the
water temps can range from 50 - 65 degrees.  The only thing that you
can count on is the wind!  Bring your small sails!  We've been taking
advantage of some warm breezes down here for the last two days (65
degrees).  I sailed a 5.2 on the ocean side and the surf temperature
was 50 degrees... No too shabby for January!  If you send me an e-mail

full low down on what's been happening. -Charlie

Bring it all. I sailed three hours north of there yesterday and was very
comfortable with no gloves. A good SW wind will do that. But a NW wind, which
is equally probable) will freeze you to the bone. At least the water is
guaranteed to be liquid.
