For all those non believers ou there, touch base on to one of the UK
News Sites, you'll see pics etc of the 100mph winds described and the
damage etc
On the UK South Coast started off in a vicious squall with a 2.8, the
only trouble was couldn't get down to the water as it was just tooooo
windy.....guys who got blown off the water using 3.5's couldn't even
walk back, there were six of them hudling over their gear holding it
down whilst the squall passed, once they came back I went out with the
2.8, first couple of runs ok, then.....the wind droppped. that's how it
was for the next hour, things then settled down with a 3.8 being ok.
Later on the wind came back, but the tide was running too high, then the
wind just went crazy, a good 10-11.
We haven't had the 100mph yet that the SW has had today, home is right
on the coast so we'll probably get it tonight.
Postscript,,,,,in the squall 4 Council Beach huts decided that they
didn't like the location and decided that splintering all over the road
would be better!
