Looking for wind names

Hello windsurfers!

My request may seem a bit odd, but what I need is about 30 names of winds
all over the world. Why? We have to rename all our computers at the
department and decided to give them names of winds (nice isn't it?).

The problem is, we need about 30 names but so far only have these here:
    foehn
    shirocco
    mistral
    bora
    passat
    monsun
    maloja
    meltemi

Can you help me, dear windsurfers? Please reply directly, I'll summarize for
the net.

Thomas

In Western Australia, (near Perth), the `Fremantle Doctor' is the
afternoon sea-breeze -- as punctual as the doctor calling.

I forgot to mention 'Mariah' (from Paint Your Wagon).
There was a windsurfing shop here called "Mariah
and Sun" a few years ago.

ZEPHYR -- although you may want to reserve this name for your XT's in your
office because it means a light breeze.

And if you're really from New England, its not Nor'easter, its Noth-Easta.

In Maui when we have southernly winds we call them Kona winds, because
they come from the direction of Kona. (the city on the big Island)(I think)
They are not always good for windsurfing and usually mean there is
is a storm on the way.

Good Luck,

When I was on holiday in yougoslavia (long time ago) I was always
scared stiff of the bora bora. It would blow tents into the sea. And
being an offshore wind, it wasn't much good for surfing... I remember
one night we needed five people to hang on to the tent, to keep it
from being blown into the sea, and everybody was laughing, cause they
had insurance, that would pay for stay in a hotel, and didn't have any...

Bye, andrej

Strong winds in the Sea of Cortex are called "El Norte"

These winds will blow solid for 4 or 5 days then die for 3 or 4 days.
