my boards and gear over there too.  I'm driving out to the west coast first and
all i'll have room for is one board(without the gear).  I'll be able to ship it
on the plane with me as a "surfboard" for $30.  However I need to ship my other
board and my gear via some sort of air freight.  I remember reading an article
that somebody posted a few months back and they said that it should cost about
$70.  I called two local shippers and one told me that it would cost me $190
and the other said it would cost me $160.  Those prices are definitely not any-
where near $70.  What i'm wondering is if anybody knows of any companies that do
ship boards and gear for cheaper.  If anyone does then please e-mail me with
the company names and telephone numbers (comments are welcome too).
Just incase you're curious, my board is a 9.5' slalom board that weighs about
19 lbs.  But I don't think that would make any huge differences in price.
