Renting Wavesailing Equipment in Santa Cruz, CA

Hi,

I am planning some R&R during the week of labor day in Santa Cruz,
but I hate to drag all of my equipment out for a couple of days of
September small wave sailing.  Has anyone developed a rental business
that caters to wavesailors in this area?  I am even willing to pick
up the equipment on the Penninsula as long as they have "decent" gear
for ocean sailing.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, I hear that the latest measure in crowd control at Waddell is to call
in a Great White Shark siting; what will you guys think up next!

Thanks in Advance

Adam Joseph

I know of no one in Santa CRuz who rents. There are a few places
up the penninsula such as Caifornia Sailboard (San Mateo, convenient to
freeway) that rent good slalom equipment.

Withe the size of the waves lately, you will probably be better off with slalom
or chop hop stuff anyway.

Helm of Sun Valley (same street as Cal Sailboards) rents Tiga's which are
supposidly jibing machines and very durable.  Phone #415-344-2711.  They are
across the street from Coyote and close to 3rd.  This weekend you might
get better wave action at 3rd Ave since there is a good ebb tide.

BTW:  Did you hear about the great white spotted about 1.2 miles off
shore in the SF Bay below the airport?
