July wind good in both, accomodation good in both, food good in both, Cabarete
much prettier and in my opinion more varied sailing conditions.  Cabarete is
third world and cheaper once you get there.  Search either on the www and you
will get a wealth of info about accomm, rentals etc.

Im from Tenerife, and you only should think that Bjorn Dunckemberck lives
there, the wind is very good alll over the summer, the waves are great, the
food and this stuff is cheap but will be probably expensive than the other
place, but the plane ticket is cheaper because if u go to the third world is
going to be a lot of money.
Have fun!!.

I had been saling in "el Medano" once -Tenerife-. During July is one of the
best places where you can sail. It's mainly a wave spot, with wilds winds.
Perhaps is harder than Cabarete but if yor look for a high % of days with
more than Force 5, this is the place.

You'll find there good hotels and gear to rent.

Well, I think Fuerte is still better: nicer beach, even some more wind (if
that's still possible) and at least a choice with rentals and cheaper ones
among them. If you want waves on Fuerte, go to Corralejo/Flagg Beach. If
you want a little less waves but even more wind, go to Sotavento Beach in
the south.

Yep, but as I just found out, there is only one and a single windsurfing
rental on the whole island of Tenerife and obviously they know that. They
are even more expensive than Rene Eglis F2 Pro Center on Fuerte (which is
the most expensive one there).
So, for windsurfing on the Canaries, I'd definately recommend
Fuerteventura, not Tenerife. Never been in Cabarete, though.

Hang loose,
