Shipping a longboard...

I shipped a 12' Equipe XR last year from Melbourne to Raleigh
for about $65. It went air freight from Melbourne airport to C***te
then to Raleigh. I wrapped it twice in bubble wrap, then wraped it in
corrigated (sp?) cardboard (box material).  They ship by volume. Oh
yeah, this was US Air Freight. I had called the trucking companies, and
for a 12 foot board there's like a 200 pound minimum, so the cost
started at $150.  Look in your phone book, and call the air freight
companies. If you live near an airport where jets come in, call them. I
really thought that air freight was going to be the most expensive, but
it was the cheapest, and it got there the next day.

How is that Equipe doing, John?
