I'm looking for board bag recommendations for a 9' and 8'4" board to
go on a Yakima roof rack.  I've owned Da Kine bags in the past and they
make the boards so hot you can't touch them, and they soak up rain water
like sponges.  Has anyone tried the Mistral bags?  I think they are blue
in color, so heat could be a problem?  Also, any suggestions for rack
padding to cover the entire bars?

try to get "metallic" coated bags as they reflect the heat. Or at least
white ones with vents to dissipate heat.
