Am taking a trip to RI in early August. I'd like to find a good but
inexpensive place to stay somewhere north of Newport, say Middletown,
Portsmouth or Tiverton, even Fall River. I'd like something a bit
nicer than a Motel 6, but not as chi-chi (sp?) as a B&B. Can someone
from RI make a recommendation of a decent place. I want to check out
the sailing scene in RI, but am actually going for a guitar convention
in Newport.

Before you head north to the places you mentioned, I'd look West to places
like Narragansett. But I'm biased.
