Sport Today

Unfortunately, I must order through the mail so I can't really
compare the sails side by side (let alone sail them). The only
difference between them that I do know for sure is that the Hot
is much cheaper.

Any comments are appreciated.

P.S.  Any of you Canadian sailboarders know of any good deals
      through the mail?

I've always been extremely satisfied with Hot Sails!  I swear by their
gridlock and put them through much abuse (through lack of skill) and
they hold up like champs.   The help I've gotten directly from the
people in Maui has also been excellent.

North makes great sails, but the Spectro is not their best effort.

I'd be interested in your opinion why.  I'm particularly enamored
with the ('93) Prisma and it seems to me that the Spectro is the
exact same sail with a tighter luff sleeve and one less camber
inducer.  They appear to use the same materials and the panels are
cut exactly the same.  I would expect that the Spectro then is a
slightly detuned version of the Prisma and easier to waterstart.

Or do you feel the same way about the Prisma as the Spectro?
