This is definitely true.

My dealer was able to grap a couple of sails cheap for my buddy and me.  I got
a 5.9m Turbo for $305 which I thought was incredible until by buddy told me he
got his 6.9m Race for the very same $305.  Retail on both of these was well
over $500.

Before anyone gets too e***d, all they had were big sails (nothing below 5.9m)
and my dealer said they were basically "sold out" when we got ours
(about 1 month ago).

Well, the day after I posted the original question I got the answer direct
from the source. Waddell sent me a letter officially announcing that they
were going out of business, and that noone else will be carrying on. They
will provide warranty support for existing customers.

Bummer.
