Drops 9'-2" race

Post by Bruce Wyli » Sun, 01 Nov 1998 04:00:00

Hello John,

My name is Bruce Wylie,  I am the US distributor for Drops.

I have a 9,2".

This board was originally designed for high wind course racing which
includes tacking.  This means that the board has some generous volume
at 116 ltr.
Having been designed about a year ago,  the design is very conventional,
not a wide tail.  This means the board actually has been working very well
as a light wind Slalom board all over the country as the board has a really
wide range.  I have used the board with sails from,  8.0,  down to,  6.0,
you could even go lower if you had to..

The tail is,  13 3/4".

Max Wide,  22 5/8".

Nose,  10 1/4".

The standard model is made with a composite of about 50 / 50,  Carbon and
Glass,  this one weighs in at about 14 pounds.
We also offer a hand made version of this board that is 100% Kevlar and
Carbon,  this one weighs in at about 12.5 to 13 pounds,  but is not as
durable...

In any case I hope this information helps you out.  If you have any more
questions please call me toll free at,  1 888 376 7872..

Best Regards,, Bruce Wylie...

I own one. It's a lovely board. You won't regret owning it too.
