Marine Craft Ban in Sacramento Delta

Marine Craft Ban in Sacramento Delta

I just heard on the news about the Coast Guard ban on all marine craft under
200' operating in the Sacramento Delta (including Rio Vista) from 2/13 to 2/18
for safety due to debris. I'm curious whether they are enforcing this against
windsurfers. The news showed patrol boats stopping power boats and sending them
back to harbor. If anyone goes out and has an experience one way or the other
(if it even blows up there), or if someone has had a first had experience
previously, I'd be curious to hear the results.

I think I heard the ban was on all recreational use of the Delta, including
boats ... and I would assume windsurfers.  If the CG were to see you , my
money is they would ask you get off the water.  Given the real problems they
are working on, they probably want to eliminate any "unnessary"
distractions, like fisherman or windsurfer needing rescue.  Just my two
cents. Don
