Optimus 99 Stove vs Peak 1?

Optimus 99 Stove vs Peak 1?

Hi, I am a novice to backpaking stoves:
I have an older Optimus stove, model 99 that I would like to use.  (It
looks like the current 8R Hunter model in a box, on the Optimus web
page.)

There is no pump on the tank so I assume I need to preheat the burner
cup with some fuel?  What is the right way to do this?

Are Optimus stoves good quality?

How do they compare to a Coleman Peak 1 model 400?

Which of these two stoves would be more reliable/trouble free?

Thanks for your help.

You can buy an add on pump for your optimus.
they are great quality and classic. Although new stoves offer new features
and may run better, do hold onto your optimus. They look great and are
built great. I think the US military uses them.
