I sent direct mail, but for others: check the Climbing Archive on WWW and
I have a specific page where I discuss climbing gyms in Dallas at:
I would recommend stopping in at StoneWorks. It is wild pulling down on
plastic for 110 feet. The number for StoneWorks is 323-1047.
Stoneworks is at the SE corner of I-35 and Beltline in Carrolton (a few minutes
NW of Dallas). It is an old grain silo...you can climb indoors or outdoors.
The tallest climb is 110'. It costs $8 + $5 if you need gear for an all day
pass. Most climbs are straight up...sometimes in very narrow enclosures, which
is really cool.
Exposure is another gym, located in Addison (in North Dallas). It is a few
miles north of 635 on Midway (left hand side of the street). Exposure's walls
aren't quite as high, but there are more walls that are slanted out. They
charge around $15 for a day pass & gear unless you have a coupon. You can get
2 for 1 coupons (pass & gear) in the Dallas Observer.
Look me up if you need a belayer...
