You learn somthing new every day, today I learned that I should have put
solid inserts into the ends of the leading and trailing edge rods :(  Finally
got around to making a bag and taking the kite down to put it away (up till
now I've just left it assembled and trasported it to the field that way) and
discovered that the horizontal rods on the left side had split halfway along
their lengh.  Oddly, I never noticed it, the frame seemed perfectly fine.
Maybe I don't need the horizontal rods to be as stiff as I thought if the
frame remains rigid even with cracked leading edge rods.

I'd like to clarify that this did not just happen, I've been beating the
hell out of this kite while experimenting.
